TGIM Digital Publishing along with GPO Kenya are pleased to extend an invitation to youth ages 6-16 currently residing in Kenya, to join The #WriteForKenya Project. We are accepting personal essays, memoirs, and works of literary non-fiction on the topic: “If you only knew what I’ve been through”.
This includes experiences of disappointments, detours, false starts, and failures that all worked out for good, leaving behind a story that will hopefully comfort and encourage all who read it. All submissions meeting the contest guidelines will be offered an opportunity to be published in the next Stories of Hope Series release: ‘Stories of Hope from Africa’. That way, everyone’s a winner!
One entry per person, please. Non-Fiction only. Poetry welcome. Minimum length of 500 words. Maximum Length 7,000 words. Recommended length 2,000 – 3,500 words. A winner will be selected from ages 6-11 and from ages 12-16 for a total of 2 (two) winners.
The winners will be selected by Joseph Mwaura, Director of GPO Kenya, and Anna Hayes, Publisher here at TGIM Digital Publishing. Winners will be announced on January 31, 2017. The decision is final. Winners will be awarded $100 cash prize in US currency and royalties from the sale of ‘Stories of Hope from Africa’ for the entire shelf life of the book both in Soft Cover and eBook formats.
